At the Théâtre National de la Colline, these men and women delivered a powerful and necessary message: peace is possible! “There is no other way,” Rabbi Nava Hefetz declared with conviction. A cry shared by all participants, reminding us of the urgency to act and bring an end to this tragic conflict. Their voices, from both sides, denounce the daily atrocities and call for a shared future built on dialogue, respect, and justice between the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.

A Gathering to Build Peace Together

Iconic figures such as Tahani Abu Daqqa, former Minister of Culture and Sports in Palestine, Alon-Lee Green, Co-Director of the Standing Together movement, and Ali Abu Awwad, founder of the Palestinian national movement Taghyeer, powerfully expressed the need to end divisions.

They all share the conviction that no military solution will resolve a political conflict, and their message is clear: “It is time to end the suffering,” emphasized Tahani Abu Daqqa.

Far from partisan positions, this gathering demonstrated that it is possible to work together, hand in hand, for a future where peace finally triumphs over nationalism and division. “Let’s close the divide between each other” urged Ali Abu Awwad, calling for reconciliation and cooperation.

A Documentary on the Tragic Realities of War

In tribute to the victims of the conflict and in support of the activists’ testimonies, the “Guerrières de la Paix” screened a heart-wrenching documentary revealing the horrors experienced by the victims. A grieving mother discovering her family buried under rubble, or the piercing cry of a mother calling for her daughter, taken hostage. These harrowing images underscore the urgency of impartial international mobilization, based on fairness and respect. As Ibrahim Abu Ahmad stressed, “We need your help, but it cannot be done by taking sides.”

The “Guerrières de la Paix,” this movement of women activists for justice and peace, remind us through this symbolic gathering that it is time to believe and act for a future where peace can prevail – a shining example of commitment for the whole world!
